AASHQI 1990 MOVIE REVIEW
When the film "Aashiqui," directed by legendary director Mahesh Bhatt, was released on August 17, 1990, everyone believed that Bollywood had found its next superhit pair in Rahul Roy and Anu Aggarwal. Mahesh Bhatt's innocence was so beautifully captured on the silver screen through music that viewers were mesmerized. The film's record-breaking success can be gauged from the fact that "Aashiqui" ran house-full for six months.
Gulshan Kumar was the producer of "Aashiqui," and Mahesh Bhatt was the director. Both bet on newcomers Rahul Roy and Anu Aggarwal. But the gamble proved wise; the musical's success quickly earned Rahul the title of romantic hero and lover boy. No one would have imagined that a modeling boy would become a superstar with his first film. When Rahul Roy was seen singing "Bas Ek Sanam Chahiye Aashiqui Ke Liye" and "Nazar Ke Samne Jigar Ke Paas" with Anu Aggarwal on the silver screen, many viewers were so mesmerized that they flocked to theaters for days. At that time, only Aashiqui cassettes played in every street and neighborhood; it was the era of cassettes.

But sadly, Rahul Roy could not replicate the magic of "Aashiqui" in his entire life. After "Aashiqui," Rahul acted in approximately 25 films that flopped, leaving him without work for several months. It is said that after being idle for approximately eight months, Rahul received offers for not just one or two but 60 films. Rahul quickly signed approximately 47 films. Rahul signed so many films because he had endured the pain of being idle for months after the success of his first film. He feared he might have to sit idle again. This led him to sign several films that, after failing miserably at the box office, proved to be career flops.
After "Aashiqui," he starred in films like "Phir Teri Yaad Aayi," "Jaanam," and "Sapne Sajan Ke," but none of them were successful. Rahul Roy faded into obscurity. A similar fate befell the film's actress, Anu Aggarwal. In addition to Rahul and Anu, the film also starred Deepak Tijori, along with seasoned actors like Reema Lagoo, Tom Alter, and Ang Desai.
With music by Nadeem and Shravan, every song in "Aashiqui" is heart-touching. Due to its mesmerizing music, the film won all four Filmfare Awards in the music category. It was honored with Best Music, Best Playback Singer (Male and Female), and Best Lyricist. Due to the tremendous success of the brilliant music of this film by Gulshan Kumar, the pair of Nadeem-Shravan also became a superhit. mumbai escorts|| gurugram escorts|| gurugram call girls|| call girls in gurugram|| jaipur escorts|| gurugram call girls||
